It's a big day!

6 months ago, a fantastic Block of the Month began arriving at my house and I've been stashing the envelopes away and sighing since the end of November.

Just LOOK at it!!

I'll confess I've been afraid of this very very beautiful quilt.

It's not the 100+ little appliquéd pieces in every block or even making sure the right color ends up in the right place, though to say it out loud sounds slightly ridiculous.

Nope.

It's the size of the blocks.

21 inches square.

Nine TWENTY-ONE inch squares have to be cut off a giant heap of unruly yardage.

Yikes.

So. This weekend, I cut a couple of those giant squares and, while I'm afraid they might be ever so slightly shy of the prescribed 21 daunting inches, they're cut.

Today, I got this far:

Isn't it cute!??! I suspect my top left leaf sits a little high... Hopefully it doesn't interfere with all the frilly stuff that lives all around it!

It's the center of block ONE. And here's a crop of the block from the finished quilt off the store website.

-sigh-

I am SO in love with this quilt.

Hope your day is as happy as mine!!

A blank canvas

I dug these out of the waiting pile this afternoon. Nothing but BIG BIG love for this cute cowboy line from Eric & Julie Comstock and Moda.

This Cowboy/Outlaw/Country Bunkin Quilt has been pieced, is basted and ready for action.

Final pictures to come... Probably not today, but you never know!!

Happy Quilting!

New quilt in the shop!

My modern roses quilt is up and online in the shop.

Legacy Quilt Shop - Etsy

So excited.  Working up the quilting on a cutie made with Mimi by Chez Moi.  The best part is, I bought enough fabric for two.  One for a little girlie I know, and another for the shop.  So pleased!

Super secret quilty projects.

So, I've been busting my hump lately piecing away, but it's all top secret business that I can't show off just yet.

What I can share is that it all involves a gazillion flying geese, and that there's a couple pretty piles of mini half-square triangles building up.

Any suggestions what I should do with these??

Maybe some pinwheels?

Or chevrons?

Aren't they cute?

I have no idea what they'll end up in but they're too adorable to throw out.

I suppose I'll have to let you know :)

Until then,
Happy Quilting :)
